Spetses, Greece

Study Abroad Spetses:

Positioned strategically between East and West, near the crossroads of Europe and Asia, and being a member of the European Union since 1981, Greece is ideally situated as a microcosm of current legal issues. Spetses is the ideal place to observe the gap between rich, represented by wealthy Greek weekenders, and working class, exemplified by the year-round residents who are struggling with newly imposed austerity measures.

This program has been designed to examine legal, economic, cultural, and social issues in both an academic and experiential way.

Vienna

Study Abroad Vienna:

Seat of the Habsburg dynasty for more than six hundred years and capital of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy until 1918, Vienna provides a rich and historic site for the program. Vienna also served as a political and cultural nerve center of Europe for centuries. Located at the crossroads between East and West, Vienna has long been the meeting place for diplomats, merchants, kings, and presidents.

The Law Clinic accepts a variety of civil cases, including family, children's rights, and education matters.

Benefits of Budgeting

Since every student’s financial situation is unique, the Office of Law Financial Aid and Scholarships is tasked with developing a cost of attendance appropriate for all student needs. Our office works closely with surrounding universities and our students, estimating the average monthly cost of living in New Orleans. Comprised of broad categories, our generous cost of attendance limits the amount of funds a student may borrow. When funding an education through student loans, responsible borrowing is a top priority.
