Like New Orleans, you have to experience Loyola College of Law first hand to truly see it's charm. We offer several ways to visit with us. 

 

The Office of Law Admissions is open daily, 8:30AM - 4:45PM CST. We also offer extended virtual hours Monday & Wednesday until 6:00PM CST.

 

At this time, we are not offering walk-in appointments. However, you may schedule a campus tour, virtual meeting, or phone conference using the links below.

On December 3, join Loyola College of Law for its annual Estate Planning Conference. Sessions will include:

  • Federal Updates (9:00AM - 10:15AM CST)
  • Recent Developments in Legal Ethics (10:20AM - 11:20AM CST)
  • Current Issues with Charitable Donations (11:25AM - 12:25PM CST)
  • Legislative Updates (1:25PM - 2:40PM CST)
  • Notarial Wills: The Supreme Court Weighs in...Again and Again (2:45PM - 3:45PM CST)
  • Parents Transferring Assets (Professionalism) (3:45PM - 4:45PM CST)

Sessions will be held via zoom. Registration is required

Whether you have already applied to Loyola Law, or are still thinking about pursuing a law degree, come see what Loyola has to offer at our Open House. At the Open House, you will get an overview of Loyola Law's experiential curriculum and an opportunity to meet current students and faculty, all while exploring our beautiful Broadway campus. 

The Open House will begin with sign-in at 11:30AM CST. Registration is easy. We hope to see you there!

S - Sit in on a Lecture

Experience first hand what it is like to be a Loyola Law student. Sit in an actual class taught by a member of our esteemed faculty. The Admissions Office will send you the class reading assignment a few days in advance so that you can follow along and actively participate in class. 

E - Eat Lunch with Current Loyola Law Students

Who is better to answer your questions about the law school experience than those living it? We will arrange for you to have lunch with our Student Ambassadors on campus in the Broadway Activities Center. We want to give you a chance to talk about Loyola Law and the admissions process in a more casual environment. 

T - Tour Campus

Let our Student Ambassadors show you the ins and outs of campus. You will get to see everything, from classrooms to the Law Library and Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic. We will show you the countless resources available at Loyola Law, and introduce you to the place where you will begin your legal career.

Loyola College of Law offers tours on a limited basis. Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the following precautions must be taken:

  • All guests must provide proof of COVID vaccination. To prove vaccination status, individuals can use the LA Wallet app; an original, digital photograph, or photocopy of CDC vaccination cards (both sides); or an official vaccine record issued by another state, foreign nation, or the World Health Organization. No exceptions will be made.
  • All visitors must wear a fabric or disposable face mask that covers the nose and mouth.
  • A prospective student is limited to one guest.

Day Classes Offered

  • Civil Law Obligations
    This course treats the general provisions of the Louisiana Civil Code applicable to all contracts in Louisiana, the formation and effect of agreements, various categories of obligations and the means of their extinction. Obligations I is taught by Professor Davrados, and is available Mondays & Wednesdays at 3:05PM CST. 

Evening Classes Offered 

  • Civil Law Security Rights
    This course includes those sections of the Civil Code dedicated to security rights, including the contracts of suretyship, pledge, mortgages on immovables, privileges, deposit, and sequestration. Security Rights is taught by Professor Davrados, and is available Mondays & Wednesdays at 6PM CST.
