Amina Habib
Amina Habib is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina but has lived in Louisiana for the majority of her life. She obtained her B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University New Orleans in 2024 and subsequently decided to make New Orleans her permanent home. Upon beginning law school in the fall of 2025, she knew she wanted to dedicate her career to serving marginalized populations. Amina was particularly drawn to environmental law, viewing it as a field where policymaking is directly connected to the protection and advancement of human rights and social justice—causes she has always been passionate about.
Johnetta Bell
Johnetta Bell, a native of Mound Bayou, MS, is pursuing a master’s degree in environmental law at Loyola University after earning her B.S. in Environmental Science and Biology from Delta State University. Her hometown holds the distinction of being the oldest All-Black municipality in the U.S., and this has informed her work which is deeply rooted in understanding how environmental issues impact underserved and overlooked communities. Johnetta’s interests focus on environmental justice, regulatory policy, and systemic accountability, all while ensuring communities have the knowledge and tools necessary to advocate for themselves.
