Bio
Dawn Harvey has been employed at Loyola since October 2009 and currently holds the position of Director of Academic Affairs and Law Records. In this role, she assists the Dean and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs with student and faculty matters related to all aspects of the academic program of the law school. She also handles the law school registration process, overseeing all phases of course programming and registration.
Dawn is a technical advisor for the LORA Self-Service ERP, providing leadership and direction for the continued development and maintenance of online student information systems. She codes and tests the Degree Audit system for law school J.D., LL.M., and M.A. program requirements, Guided Curriculum testing, specialty certificates, and accreditation reporting.
Dawn also assists with student advising and academic planning. She works closely with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and faculty committees to implement course and curriculum changes and manages updates to the Law School Bulletin and website content.
Dawn previously served as the Associate Director of Academic Affairs and Registration and as Senior Administrative Assistant to the Loyola Law Faculty. Prior to joining Loyola, she worked at a New Orleans area private investigative agency as an office manager and licensed senior investigator, specializing in background investigations. Dawn also worked as a legal assistant and bookkeeper before being promoted to office administrator at a local law firm. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of New Orleans.
