Loyola College of Law and United Way of Southeast Louisiana Announce Application Opening for 2024 Nancy M. Marsiglia Institute for Justice
New Orleans, LA, July 1, 2024 — Loyola College of Law, in partnership with United Way of Southeast Louisiana, is excited to announce applications for the twelfth cohort of the Nancy M. Marsiglia Institute for Justice will be accepted starting July 4, 2024. This prestigious, bipartisan twelve-week course on the Constitution is designed to cultivate leadership, foster civic discourse, and promote justice within our communities.
Participants will benefit from a series of interactive workshops and expert-led discussions including elected officials, judges, and journalists. It also provides networking opportunities with local leaders and policymakers. Graduates of the Marsiglia Institute have emerged as influential voices for civil debate.
Dean Madeleine Landrieu of the Loyola New Orleans College of Law said of the program, “Those who have participated in this Institute have learned to rise above the noise and to actually engage with one another in spirited, yet respectful debate. It’s been great to see this at work in our past participants, and we look forward to this cohort.”

The Nancy M. Marsiglia Institute for Justice, named in honor of Nancy M. Marsiglia, a revered community leader and passionate advocate for social equity, offers participants an immersive educational experience. The course brings together a diverse group of community members to study the founding principles of our nation so that “we the people” can be more informed stewards of our democracy.
