Bio
Haley Farrell joins the Westerfield Fellowship Program after serving as an adjunct professor of law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, where she taught legal writing and research to first-year students. She also served as a staff attorney for the New York Legal Aid Society in the DNA Forensics Unit, litigating a class action lawsuit and defending clients who had been targeted by discriminatory or unreliable forensic science in criminal procedures.
Haley previously worked as an assistant deputy public defender at the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, where she managed a caseload of 200+ active cases and was recognized as the statewide Attorney of the Month. Connecting Haley to Loyola’s Jesuit mission of service is her experience as an international programs officer for Jesuit Mission Australia and a research fellow for Jesuit Refugee Service Cambodia, where she advocated for asylum seekers and displaced communities.
Haley received a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was a Pro Bono Scholar, and a B.A. in International Studies and Theology from Boston College.
