If you need a book, article, or other resource that is not available in our library, you can request it via interlibrary loan in the library's ILLiad system. This service is available to currently-enrolled students, faculty, and staff. 

Please create an account in the ILLiad system. With this account, you will be able to request items, view the status of your requests, and check the due date for items that you have borrowed. Articles can be viewed within the ILLiad system as printable PDF documents.

The Robert F. and Janice A. Rodstrum Rare Books Room at the Loyola Law Library is a unique collection of legal treatises, encyclopedias and religious materials available in the College of Law Library. Emphasized in the collection are texts from France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Particular strengths lie in an extensive civil law collection of French legal treatises dating back to 1750. 

The Law Clinic provides legal services for low-income individuals. To receive free legal services, clients must be income eligible (living below 200% of the federal poverty line).  Prospective clients will be screened to determine eligibility. 

The Law Clinic accepts a variety of civil cases, including family, children's rights, and education matters.

As an ABA-accredited law school, the College of Law is subject to the ABA Standards for Approval of Law Schools.

Since every student’s financial situation is unique, the Office of Law Financial Aid and Scholarships is tasked with developing a cost of attendance appropriate for all student needs. Our office works closely with surrounding universities and our students, estimating the average monthly cost of living in New Orleans. Comprised of broad categories, our generous cost of attendance limits the amount of funds a student may borrow. When funding an education through student loans, responsible borrowing is a top priority. 

Organize Your Loan Portfolio

Borrowers may track all federal student loan records through the their Federal Student Aid Account. This site provides borrowers with a list of federal student loans, the principal balance, accrued interest, and the contact information for federal loan servicers.

The Fall and Spring Internship Programs provide opportunities for second, third, and fourth (part-time) year students to work as interns in legal services offices in New Orleans. Paid interns gain invaluable legal experience and skills while assisting the indigent in the community.
