LL.M. in United States Law for International Students

We take your education personally.

Loyola Law places a unique emphasis on comparative and international law owing to its location in the State of Louisiana. Due to the confluence of laws and practices rooted in Civil Law and Common Law, Louisiana is now considered to be a mixed jurisdiction. The College of Law’s dual curriculum, its Jesuit heritage and its geographic location in the international port city of New Orleans, with its richly diverse cultural heritage, also contribute to its global focus.

Evening Juris Doctor

Evening Law Studies

For more than 100 years, Loyola University New Orleans College of Law has been the only law school in New Orleans to offer working professionals and non-traditional students the opportunity to earn a law degree in the evening. From recent graduates to retirees, empty nesters to new parents, our part-time students hail from diverse backgrounds, making the classroom a dynamic experience for both professors and students.

Entrepreneurship Project

Students interested in transactional work can prepare to practice by joining the Entrepreneurship Project. New Orleans is a national hub for business innovation. It was recently named the No. 1 Brainpower City in the United States by Forbes and the Coolest Startup City in America by Inc.com.  Through the Entrepreneurship Project, students help local start-ups organize their legal entities, develop contracts, and prepare for outside financing. Loyola works with Propeller, a business incubator with a focus on social and environmental ventures, to identify clients.
