About the Section

Student practitioners in the Criminal Defense section litigate misdemeanor and felony criminal matters in state court under supervision of their professor. The caseload in this section may cover the gamut of criminal matters from drug cases to homicides. Students can expect to spend a significant amount of time in court appearing in front of judges and juries and consulting with their clients. Class time will focus on the practical aspects of criminal procedure and practice, as well as professional standards for client-centered indigent defense.
