College of Law Welcomes Fall 2025 Ignatian Law Scholars

By Loyola University on Thu, 09/18/2025 - 09:39

Loyola University New Orleans College of Law is proud to welcome 22 students into the Ignatian Law Scholars (ILS) Program. The ILS Program recognizes particularly promising members of the entering law school class whose applications reflect the Jesuit values of commitment to academic excellence and service to others. ILS receive a renewable Dean’s Scholarship and are assigned faculty and alumni mentors to help with the transition to law school and practice. In addition, Scholars gather for special events each semester to get to know each other and other members of the law school community.

This year, the College of Law honors 22 incoming Scholars. Their experiences and education are unique and varied, but each student reflects the common Jesuit values on which Loyola was founded. Whether they came from down the street, across the country, or across continents, these Scholars have chosen to make Loyola their home during their law school journey.

These 22 incoming Scholars include military veterans, musicians, advocates, volunteers, and future leaders. The College of Law is proud to welcome them into the Loyola community and to educate them as they strive to make an impact in the legal field.
