Bio
Prior to joining the faculty at Loyola, Professor Neilson was senior trial attorney for the Internal Revenue Service District Counsel in New Orleans, and he spent a number of years thereafter in private practice. His research, consulting, and teaching interests include all aspects of taxation, business associations, decedents' estates and trusts, and estate planning. Professor Neilson is a member of the New York and Louisiana bars and is a certified tax specialist before the Louisiana bar. He has lectured in a number of continuing legal education programs in the areas of federal taxation, estate planning, and choice of entity.
