Bio

Eden C. Ezell is an Adjunct Professor of Law in the Health Law Program at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she teaches Healthcare Compliance Law. She brings more than two decades of executive leadership in healthcare regulatory governance, risk, and compliance to her teaching, drawing on a career spanning two of Louisiana’s largest healthcare organizations.

Her practice has encompassed compliance, privacy, cybersecurity risk, and enterprise resilience programs, with direct regulatory engagement before the OIG, DOJ, HHS, CMS, and OCR and board-level accountability for compliance and enterprise risk performance. She also held senior legal roles managing complex litigation, government investigations, and corporate transactions including public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. In 2023, she was appointed by the Governor of Louisiana to the state’s Cybersecurity Commission.

Professor Ezell holds a JD from the University of Mississippi School of Law, an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and a BA from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. She is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Mississippi, holds certifications in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), and serves on the Board of Directors of SHARE Cancer Support.
