- The Trial Advocacy Program is pleased to announce that our team which competed at the National Trial Advocacy Competition hosted by Michigan State was very successful! The team was composed of Lindzee Locke, Jacob Hargett, Amanda Howard, and Brian Guillot, and coached by Tim DePaula. The team went 2-1 in their trials, with their only loss coming from the tournament champions, Southern Methodist University. In addition to their team success Lindzee and Jacob both received individual honors. Out of 104 advocates in the competition, Lindzee won the award for Best Closing Argument, and Jacob won the award for Best Cross-Examination. Loyola New Orleans was the only school at the competition to take home multiple awards. The Trial Advocacy Program could not be prouder of this team. All of their hard work has really paid off!
