3L Joseph Loochkartt Recognized as 2014 Clerk Extraordinaire by the Pro Bono Project

Joseph Loochkartt, a current 3L at Loyola, was named Clerk Extraordinaire of the Year at the Pro Bono Project's Volunteer Appreciation Awards and Reception. The Honorable Raymond S. Steib, Jr. Judge 24th Judicial District, Jefferson Parish presided as Master of Ceremonies.

According to a spokesperson for the Project, Joe "...made a specialty of handling the construction and consumer cases that came in, writing thoughtful and carefully-researched legal memos on the problems faced by our clients. He also helped out with facilitating the legal evening for the students of the 10,000 Small Businesses program at Delgado Community College. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he also was a great help with the Spanish-speaking clients, some of whom still ask for Señor José to this day."
