Orientation General Information
Welcome and Invocation
Rev. Lawrence Moore, SJ, Interim Dean, the Faculty and Administrators at the College of Law will welcome all first-year students to the University and College of Law on Monday, August 14th.
Dress for Orientation
The dress for orientation is business casual.
The dress for professional head shot photographs and the Louisiana State Bar Association reception is professional business attire.
Broadway Activity Center (BAC)
501 Pine Street
At 12PM on Monday, August 14, 2017, the Admissions Office will open check-in for all first-year students. All first-year students, including those enrolled in Loyola’s evening division, are expected to check-in during that time period. Incoming students are required to present their Loyola University New Orleans student identification card during check-in.
All first-year students will receive nine hours of instruction time during Orientation and an introduction to the various departments and services at the College of Law.
Dinner will be provided every evening during Orientation at 5pm.
Parking During Orientation
Incoming students may park in the West Road parking garage on Main Campus without a parking permit on August 14, August 15, August 16, and August 17. A shuttle between campuses will be provided on Monday, August 14 from 12PM until 9PM. The shuttle stop is on the first floor of the West Road parking garage.
Textbook for Orientation
Incoming students will need to purchase their Lawyering I textbook, Writing and Analysis in the Law (6th ed.) by Helene Shapo et. al., for Orientation.
