Housing

Getting Started

As you are making your final plans to attend Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, this guide will assist you in making preparations for housing. This is a tight housing market. Advertised apartments get rented very quickly. We have prepared for you what we believe is the best approach to find a place to live in New Orleans. Don't forget to avail yourself of the resources recommended in our housing packet.

Off-campus housing

Off-campus housing is available within walking distance of the law school and within a short driving distance. We are not experiencing a housing shortage in the student housing market. Expect to pay on  average at least $850 for a one bedroom apartment and at least $1400 for a two bedroom apartment in the university area. You can find lower rents in the university area but the quality is not always consistent. If you are looking for a roommate, check out a list of your classmates also seeking roommates (password protected).

Apartment listings

View online apartment listings. You will find ads listed by landlords who are specifically looking for law student tenants and links to other online resources such as rental ads in our local papers, apartment complexes and local realtors.
