Joseph H. Lawson
Biography
Professor Emeritus of Law
B.A., 1954, Rhodes College; J.D., 1961, Tulane University.
Professor Lawson joined the Loyola law faculty in 1968. While in law school, he served as an assistant editor of the Tulane Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Professor Lawson clerked for the Louisiana Supreme Court from 1961-1962. He was a member of the Louisiana State Law Institute from 1972-1988. Professor Lawson has taught in the areas of commercial law, conflict of laws, contracts, creditors rights, and property.
