Professor Fayard joined the Loyola faculty as a Westerfield Fellow in the Fall of 2007. Prior to attending law school Professor Fayard worked in New York as an investment banking analyst for Goldman Sachs in both the Real Estate and Equity Capital Markets groups, focusing primarily on commercial
mortgage-backed securities and convertible bonds. While attending law
school, Professor Fayard engaged in extensive clinical practice in both Michigan and South Africa and was chair of Michigan's Student Funded Fellowships Organization which provides grants to students for public-interest internships. After graduation, Professor Fayard was a law clerk for the Honorable Stanwood R. Duval, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. After her clerkship, Professor Fayard was in private practice as an associate at Fayard & Honeycutt, a Louisiana firm specializing in class actions and general plaintiffs'
litigation. Professor Fayard's other legal work experiences include Williams and Connolly and the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, where she served as an assistant to the Special Master.
Professor Fayard teaches Moot Court and Legal Research and Writing.
