Short Bio

Professor Weber joined Loyola Law School as a Westerfield Fellow in 2009. His teaching and research interests include comparative law, corporate law, securities regulation, the regulation of financial institutions, European Union law, law and development, international trade and insurance law.

Professor Weber holds an A.B. from Duke University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan, where he graduated cum laude and was awarded the Saul L. Nadler Memorial Award for excellence in course work and scholarly written work in the fields of securities regulation, commercial law, and corporate law. While in law school, he served as an Articles Editor for the Michigan Journal of International Law.

Following law school, Professor Weber clerked for the Honorable Richard W. Goldberg of the United States Court of International Trade in New York, where he assisted the judge with a caseload ranging from disputes under the U.S. customs and international trade laws to criminal and civil matters in U.S. district court and sittings with the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Eighth and Eleventh Circuits. From 2007 to 2009, he practiced with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York. While in the corporate department at Debevoise and in addition to his pro bono representations, Professor Weber represented clients in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions transactions and advised clients on financial regulatory matters. Prior to law school, he spent a year as a Fulbright scholar studying recent immigration trends to Europe at the Università di Roma “La Sapienza” in Rome, Italy. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
