Short Bio
Professor Jackson joined the Loyola Law School faculty in 2008. She received her B.S. in Biosystems Engineering, with an emphasis in Applied Biotechnology, from Clemson University. Her past scientific research includes the study of Caribbean coral reef diseases and histological methods for tissue engineering. While attending law school at the University of Arkansas, Professor Jackson externed with the Honorable Jimm Larry Hendren of the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas. After graduating, she practiced intellectual property law in South Carolina at Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough, LLP. Professor Jackson's research interests include civil rights, critical race theory, and the intersection between intellectual property and human rights.
In 2008, Professor Jackson studied comparative constitutional law and international human rights law in Cape Town, South Africa.
