Short Bio

Professor Pauli’s research interests focus on the news media, conflict resolution, poverty law and international human rights. Professor Pauli received her J.D. in 2007 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as an associate editor of the Cardozo Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif. Before law school, she worked as a writer for the Evansville (IN) Sunday Courier and Press and the Decatur (IL) Herald-Review, as an editor for the Associated Press Broadcast Wire and as a writer and radio documentary producer for CBS News in New York. She taught journalism in Africa as a Fulbright Teaching Fellow in Botswana in 1991-92 and has subsequently led short-term journalism workshops in Tanzania, Malawi and Rwanda. She is a tenured assistant professor in the School of Communication and the Arts at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
