Disasters and the Law

During the fall semester of 2007 students from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law had the unique opportunity to learn in conjunction with students from Georgetown Law Center to discuss certain issues left unsolved in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The students along with faculty, professionals, and administration came together to create an understanding of went wrong here in New Orleans, who to hold accountable, and what to do in the future to mitigate these same problems in future events.

The students understood that this collaboration between Washington D.C. and New Orleans created a clear line of communication between the communities, and in an attempt to keep the information about these important issues, we students have created this website.
