Discover the College of Law Advantage
Pursuit of excellence
It’s a rare combination of wide-ranging programs of study, real life opportunities, and a commitment to the community that makes Loyola University New Orleans College of Law stand apart. No doubt this factored in to the Princeton Review’s naming the College of Law one of the best law schools in the nation. Our pursuit of excellence is marked by our success in national and international moot court competitions, and our dedication to public service is demonstrated by our clinical and poverty law programs, rated among the nation’s best.
Choose from civil law and common law curriculums, full-time day and part-time evening programs, as well as three joint degree programs. Our emphasis on comparative and international law offers students and faculty opportunities to study and develop expertise in this growing field.
To give you real-life experience and an opportunity to give back, you’ll be encouraged to work with one of the centers at Loyola:
- Center for Environmental Law and Land Use promotes leadership in legal environmental education and service in the Gulf Region.
- The Gillis Long Poverty Law Center provides legal research and education about the problems of poor people and assists with legal services to those unable to afford representation.
- The Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice is a fully functioning legal clinic which lets third-year law students represent indigent clients under the supervision of experienced attorneys.
