ALUMNI SERVICES
The Office of Career Services provides lifetime
career management services, free of charge, to our graduate alumni. This
includes individual career advising appointments and participation in our
events. Individual Counseling Appointments
Our staff is available to assist you with career planning and your job
search. Counselors are available to counsel alumni about career
objectives, job search strategies, qualifications, career transitions,
legal career and alternative career goals as well as provide individual
assistance in the formulation of resumes and cover letters. The office of
Career Services has an open door policy so that you may drop by at your
convenience or may schedule an appointment to meet with a career
counselors. Counselors can also assist alumni via phone or email if
necessary.
Job Bulletin Exchange
The Office of Career Services exchanges job bulletins with other law
schools throughout the nation. This resource provides students and alumni
information on job opportunities in specific areas of the U.S. Please
contact Career Services for more information.
Workshops/Programs
The Office of Career Services provides expanded and varied programming
throughout the academic year. OCS holds numerous workshops and panels
featuring guest speakers and alumni throughout the year. All alumni are
welcome to participate in the workshops and programs offered through
Career Services.
Loyola LawLink
As an alumnus of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, we welcome
your participation as a volunteer in the Loyola LawLink Network. The goal
of the Loyola LawLink Network is to provide students and alumni with
direct access to members of the legal community to enhance their
understanding of the career aspects within a firm or practice area and to
help strengthen the law school’s connection to the world of practice. If
you are a Loyola alumnus and would like to be added to the LawLink
Network, you may fill out the online Mentor Directory Sign-up Form. Please
note that students and graduates will be attaining informational
interviews and career guidance only and are not allowed to contact mentors
for employment purposes.
Reciprocity
OCS will assist you in procuring the use of placement offices in law
schools located out of state by writing letters requesting reciprocity.
This service is especially helpful to alumni who plan to relocate to
another jurisdiction to practice.
