WHAT WE DO
As career development evolves throughout your adult
life, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the options
available as well as the qualifications necessary for various positions.
The need to plan carefully and conduct a well-structured employment
campaign is critical in view of such a competitive market. It is critical
that you begin to create a strategy in your freshman year (1L) and
constantly assess and re-work the plan as you progress throughout your law
school career. Your employment success will depend in large measure upon
your preparedness to conduct a job search campaign. Only by undertaking
your job search in a responsible and business-like manner can you be
assured that you will find a position best suited to your talents and
interests.
The College of Law’s Office of Career Services offers a variety of
services, starting in the freshman year, designed to improve the student’s
employment opportunities. Our primary goal is to match the educational and
experiential skills of the student with the needs of a particular
employer. We are dedicated to increasing employment opportunities for
students and alumni through direct contact with employers.
The Office of Career Services functions as a resource center. Our
experienced, professional staff is here to assist students and alumni who
are seeking career planning and employment information. The office does
not, nor can it, function in such a way as to guarantee jobs. You'll find
many of our resources right here on these pages. If you need further
information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us! |
