Tim Kappel is an attorney with Farmer Purcell White & Lassiter, PLLC, where his practice is largely dedicated to serving creators and professionals in the entertainment industries. His clients include national recording artists, songwriters, music publishers, record labels, producers, and managers. Before becoming an attorney, Tim worked for a wide array of music industry groups, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, SoundExchange, and the Recording Academy.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Kappel serves as an adjunct professor at Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law, where he teaches entertainment law. He is also an adjunct faculty member in the Music Industry Studies Department at Loyola’s College of Music and Fine Arts.
