Before joining the Loyola law faculty in 2010 as a Westerfield Fellow, Professor Miller practiced for five years in the Chicago office of Sidley Austin LLP, where he represented pharmaceutical manufacturers in mass tort litigation. Professor Miller received his J.D. in 2005 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, from which he graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, and holds an A.B. in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan. His research and teaching interests include civil procedure, federal jurisdiction, tort and product liability law, and the regulation of the pharmaceutical industry.
