Short Bio

Li Yong Seghers, Programs and Communications Coordinator, Career Development and Law Practice Center, Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, was born in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English, Li received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Trade from Guangxi University, China in 1996. Li has been a professional translator for television stations and film studios in China. She also has worked for film and advertising studios in Beijing and in the banking and restaurant industries in the United States. Her career accomplishments include customer relations, office management, and public relations and marketing.

Li has been employed at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law since 2008. In her role as Programs and Communications Coordinator, Li is involved in all aspects of the office operation. She provides administrative support to staff and students, co-coordinates the On-Campus Interview Program, manages the office website and job postings, coordinates reciprocity requests, and supervises work study students. Li is a current member of the New Orleans Legal Recruiting Association. Li is married to Mark Seghers, a 2009 Loyola Law Alumnus. Li and Mark have two children, Mika and Hans.
