Short Bio

Dawn Chiappetta is a licensed professional counselor, who started her career at the College of Law in 2006. Some of her many duties include counseling and advising prospective and current law students, managing the law student ambassador program, recruiting through travel and tours of the law college, maintaining contact with prospects and accepted applicants, processing tuition deposits and required documents from matriculating students, assisting with 1L registration, open house and orientation, creating and updating marketing publications, assisting incoming law students in obtaining available housing, and coordinating web chats for prospective students.

Ms. Chiappetta earned her Master of Arts degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in the area of school counseling. Before coming to Loyola, Ms. Chiappetta worked as a guidance counselor where she counseled and advised children and families in the areas of grief, social skills, and life transitions. Before attending graduate school, Ms. Chiappetta graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in communications from LSU after which she worked in advertising at WVUE-Fox 8 and UPN-54, before heading to Washington, D.C. to work for a political public relations firm.
