Amnesty International is a worldwide organization devoted to raising awareness of human rights, eradicating international and domestic violence against women and children, demanding dignity for all people and contributing to Hurricane relief. Being a part of Amnesty International at Loyola College of Law means having a voice in the international community. Loyola’s chapter strives to raise awareness about human rights issues.
Amnesty International has more than 2.8 million members and supporters in more than 150 countries and regions. Members angered by human rights abuses work to improve human rights through international solidarity. In 1961, Amnesty International started its global campaign to promote and safeguard human rights and has worked tirelessly to eradicate human rights abuses since then, which inspires hope for a better world in the future.
