Achievements

The October 20 piece is titled In Asheville, Home to Craft Beer, a Wine Scene Rises.  Trippi opened Metro Wines in 2013 with her husband, John Kerr.

The Council is a board of twenty-six distinguished private citizens appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate. They advise the chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Masters graduated magna cum laude, where she was a William L. Crowe, Sr. Scholar.

During his time at Loyola, he served as an intern for the Hon. Sylvia Steib-Dunn of the Department of Labor.  He was also managing editor of the Maritime Law Journal.

Prados recently gave a lecture, “Recent Developments in Family Law – Cases,” at Loyola’s Annual Family Law Conference and another lecture, “Recent Developments in Louisiana Jurisprudence,” at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU’s 20th Annual Family Law Seminar. 

Edwards owns a practice in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.  He also works in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the Mississippi National Guard. 

Powers wrote the highest scoring bar exam of all 2,975 July test takers in the state of Texas.  She will have the opportunity to speak at the Texas swearing in ceremony November 21st.

He practices primarily in the areas of environmental litigation, toxic tort defense, environmental regulation, Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) and Oil & Gas law. 

Laura R. Caviness, J.D. ’07, was named partner in the law firm Curry & Friend, PLC in New Orleans.  She practices in the areas of environmental and toxic tort defense; health care litigation, and medical malpractice defense.  She represents nursing homes and health care providers in litigation as well as medical malpractice claims and provides advice on legal and regulatory issues affecting their business.

Loyola’s first time test takers passed at a rate of 76.69%.  Of all Loyola test takers, 73.83% passed.
