Achievements

Bryan Jeansonne, J.D. ’06, was elected chairman of the East Baton Rouge Parish Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. The board licenses and regulates all businesses serving alcohol in the parish. 

Bryan is a partner/attorney at Dore Jeansonne Law Firm in Baton Rouge, specializing in business transactions and litigation, and real estate transactions and litigation. While at Loyola, Bryan served as Honor Board Chief Justice and as a member of Delta Theta Phi, The Federalist Society, and The Real Estate Law Society. 

Lynsey R. Johnson, J.D. '14, has been named a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Robert J. David (J.D. '69) has been named one of the Top 10 lawyers in Louisiana by Thompson Reuters’ Super Lawyers 2015.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

Bob J. Duplantis (J.D. '66) has been named to Acadiana Profile magazine’s Top Lawyers list in the areas of administrative/regulatory law, energy law, and oil and gas law. 

Bob is a partner at Gordon Arata McCollam Duplantis & Eagan LLC in Lafayette, practicing in the areas of Louisiana oil and gas regulation. Prior to practicing law, Bob spent 10 years working in exploration and production in various engineering and management assignments throughout Louisiana, Texas, California, and New York.  

Julie Deshotels Jardell (J.D. '07) was named to Acadiana Profile magazine’s Top Lawyers list in the area of energy law.

Ms. Jardell practices with the firm of Gordon Arata McCollam Duplantis & Eagan LLC in the Lafayette office. Her practice is concentrated on oil and gas transactions and general, commercial and oil and gas litigation. 

Florida Bar President-Elect Ramón Abadin (J.D. '85) has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. The induction ceremony at which Abadin became a Fellow took place recently before an audience of approximately 585 persons during the recent 2015 Spring Annual Meeting of the College in Key Biscayne, Florida.

Allison Hymel (J.D. '02) has joined the St. Louis firm of Brown & Crouppen P.C. She will primarily handle matters related to personal injury and workers compensation.

Upon graduating from Loyola Law, she was employed of counsel to a law firm in New Orleans where she assisted in class action litigation and also handled matters relating to family law. She has practiced before both state and federal courts in both Missouri and Louisiana. 

Tiffany Thomas Smith (J.D. '08) has joined Leake & Andersson LLP in New Orleans as an associate. Mrs. Smith focuses her practice primarily on commercial litigation, insurance defense, and labor and employment law.
