The Greater New Orleans Martinet Legal Society, Inc. and the New Orleans Martinet Legal Foundation, Inc. awarded 2L Taifa Goff a scholarship at its annual "Forging Our Future" jazz brunch and scholarship gala on September 13, 2014. Martinet scholarships are awarded to law students and fund community service projects that effectuate change and benefit the community. Loyola and Tulane law students who are members of BLSA and who demonstrate outstanding academic merit are eligible for the awards of up to $2,000 each. Last year, the Foundation awarded $11,000 in scholarship monies to Loyola and Tulane students.
Ms. Goff currently serves as treasurer of the Black Law Student Association (BLSA), A.P. Tureaud Chapter.
