Robert R. M. Verchick will present a paper at Pantheon-Sorbonne University (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne) in Paris on the topic, “Adapting to a Changing Climate.” The presentation, part of a symposium titled, "Exploring the Toolbox of International Law from the Perspective of the December 2015 Paris Conference on Climate,” was made possible by the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and Energy.
Professor Verchick currently serves as Gauthier - St. Martin Eminent Scholar and Chair in Environmental Law. His writing focuses on environmental regulation, climate change adaptation, and the developing field of disaster law.
Verchick has taught as a visitor at several schools, including Peking University (China) and Aarhus Univeristy (Denmark), and has lectured across the United States, Europe, and Asia. In the fall of 2012, he researched climate adaptation policies in India as a Visiting Scholar at the Centre for Policy Research in New Delhi, supported by a Fulbright-Nehru Environmental Leadership Award.
