National Moot Court Team Lands in the Top 16 in the Country

I am proud to announce that our National Moot Court team competed in the 62nd National Rounds in New York City this week and landed in the Top 16 in the country! The team was defeated by a very narrow margin by Regent University, which had the runner up best brief. Over 180 teams compete nationwide in this competition and the top 30 schools from 15 regions meet for the final round in New York. At the end of two rounds, we were seeded 10th and the students did a fantastic job arguing against a very lively bench. Ultimately, Texas Tech won the competition, with UC Berkley placing second.

The students will be back next week so please congratulate them if you see them. Jeff Briscoe and Peter Connick argued the case, Meera Sossaman wrote the brief, and Sam Winston coached the team. Thanks to all of you who selflessly gave your time to moot this team. It is truly appreciated!
