Law Students Submit Comments on EPA'S Enviromental Justice Review of Hazardous Waste Policy

Law students Alexander (Sascha) Bollag, Alison Burns, Lindsey Crowe, Janise Lampley, and Luko Musladin recently submitted public comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on the agency's proposed rules on the recycling of hazardous materials. The proposal has been watched closely by environmental justice advocates concerned about the effects of rule on low-income and minority communities. The students had reviewed EPA's environmental justice analysis for the rule as part of an environmental course. They later fashioned their work into a public document, which the EPA will soon review in its rulemaking process.
