Italian Law Journal Publishing Professor Markus Puder’s Paper on Peace-Coercion Law

Professor Markus Puder’s paper titled “The Construction of UN-System Law in Domestic and International Courts - The Second Gulf War as a Case Study” will appear in Ordine Internazionale e Diritti Umani (International Legal Order and Human Rights), a peer-reviewed Italian Law Journal.  Puder says the article “explores judicial review with regard to the interpretation of the meaning and effects of peace-coercion law created by the UN Security Council.”  Using the military action against Iraq by the Coalition of the Willing in 2003 as a case study, Puder discusses cases seen through in the United Kingdom, Costa Rica and Germany.  He will be translating his paper into Italian for the journal, which is published both in print and online.
