Hiroko Kusuda Wins AILA’s Elmer Fried Excellence in Teaching Award

Professor Hiro Kusuda is the 2016 recipient of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Elmer Fried Excellence in Teaching Award.  The award has been resented annually since 1997 for “outstanding efforts in teaching in the area of immigration law.”  A letter from the AILA to Professor Kusuda reads in part:  “…your dedication to the rights of immigrants and your advocacy for positive immigration reform on both the local and national level are indeed exemplary. We are extremely pleased that you will be receiving the national recognition you deserve.”  The award will be presented June 25th during the Annual Conference on Immigration Law in Las Vegas, Nevada.
