Assistant Clinical Professor Judson Mitchell to Receive Legatus Christi Award

The Harry Tompson Center this year is awarding its most prestigious award, Legatus Christi (translated as Ambassador of Christ), on Judson Mitchell, assistant clinical professor in the Loyola Law Clinic, for the services he has provided to about 1500 homeless guests of the center.

Below is an excerpt from the email I received from Don Thompson, Executive Director of the Harry Tompson Center. http://www.harrytompsoncenter.org/

"The award is called 'Legatus Christi' (translated 'Ambassador of Christ') and is given to someone who through their efforts has brought the hope and peace and love of Christ to our homeless guests. I am so happy to announce that the 2011 awardee is Judson Mitchell."

The event will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 7 - 11 pm at the Commons at Jesuit High School.  The Gala is a silent and live auction with lots of great auction items, outstanding food from dozens of restaurants, open bars and lots of fellowship.
