2014 Alumna Lynsey Johnson Named Presidential Management Fellow at H.U.D.

Lynsey R. Johnson, J.D. '14, has been named a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

As a Fellow, Ms. Johnson coordinates HUD’s Resilience Council and the implementation of the department’s Climate Adaptation Action Plan. She also staffs the Partnership for Sustainable Communities (PSC), a multi-agency effort between the EPA, DOT, and HUD, to coordinate of federal place-based initiatives. Lynsey also assists in the coordination and implementation of the $1 billion National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC) for disaster resilience. She coordinates with the Rockefeller Foundation in their capacity building initiatives for eligible NDRC applicants. Finally, Lynsey drafts policy memos, review department documents, and advises the Office of Economic Resilience’s Director. 

While at Loyola, Lynsey received a Gillis Long Poverty Law Center Public Service Award, served as President of the Public Interest Law Group, and was a member of the Environmental Law Society.
