2000 Alumna Dana Douglas Wins Federal Bar Association’s Camille Gravel Pro Bono Award

2000 Alumna Dana Douglas has been awarded the 2016 Camille Gravel Pro Bono Award from the Federal Bar Association.  The award is named in honor of the late Camille Gravel, a veteran trial attorney and a champion in the battle for civil rights and equal justice.  Douglas is a partner at Liskow and Lewis in New Orleans.  The award was presented August 25th at the FBA’s Annual Meeting and Luncheon.  Several notable figures in the Louisiana legal community were present and lauded Douglas' numerous efforts in the community.  "I can think of few young lawyers who have been so committed to the cause of public service than Dana Douglas. Dana has a strong voice for those who cannot speak for themselves and do not have an avenue for doing so," said Kim Boyle, Former LSBA President.  Chief Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court Bernette Johnson said "Dana is exceptional in the amount of time she gives to professional organizations and volunteerism."
